Liverpool confirmed Virgil Van Dijk’s new contract on its official website on Thursday, April 17, 2025. According to the club’s report, the Dutch decided to sign a two-year contract with the Reds.

He signed an extension on the club’s website and revealed on the club’s website that Anfield was the best place for him to sign a contract.
He said
“Liverpool is where I want to have a great time and be successful in the club because we have been in the club and hope for the future for many years. I love embodying everything about Liverpool, and more. Here, I think it’s really exciting. It’s exciting.”
