The local government election held in Orson on Saturday proved that voters in the state had poor turnout. The correspondent of the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) monitors the elections in some local governments, and he reports that among the visited voting units, the State Independent Election Commission (OSSIEC) has no temporary staff.

In Osgbo, some voting units are located in Ogo-Oluwa, Alekunwodo, Olaiya, Oja-Oba, most of them have no voters, Ossiec staff and security staff, as of 9:15 am.

Nan observed that no voter list was shown in some of the voting units visited. However, the elections were held in the departments 18, 19 and 20 of Ataoja D. Ward 4.

Although Gov. Ademola Adeleke ordered restrictions on vehicle movements across the state from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. to be followed because there are no restrictions of any kind.

However, South also observed that police had obstacles on the main roads. Similarly, in Ile-Ife, in some voting units, there is no indication of voters and Ossiec Adhoc employees.

But while stores, markets and shopping malls remain closed, the situation in Ed, the Governor’s hometown, is slightly different, as voters are seen in some poll units where Ossiec and Ad Hoc employees are taking care of them .

At Obalaoye Grammar School, Unit 4, Part 4, some voters were in the queue at 8:00 a.m., waiting for a vote.

Additionally, Oloba Atapara Ward of Unit 1 of Oloba Atapara witnessed few voters waiting for recognition and vote.

One voter, Nifemi Akingbala, said the process was so peaceful and urged all voters to vote without fear.
