- Media personality Remy has publicly shared her decision to end her friendship with one of her best friends from middle school.
- The reason for the breakup was attributed to the significant differences in their life trajectories over time.
- Remy noted that her friend still wanted to reconnect with her when she returned home, but Remy no longer felt the same closeness.

Media personality Remy has sparked debate online after revealing she cut ties with her middle school best friend, citing differences in their life paths.
Remy said in a public statement that while her friend still wanted to reconnect whenever Remy came home, she no longer felt the close connection they once had. She explained that over time, their lives diverged greatly.
Remy described her friend as being married with two children from different fathers and working as a seamstress, while she herself was single and childless. She recalled that during her last visit five years ago, the two struggled to find common ground and thus have a meaningful conversation.
Remy sensed that the friendship no longer fit her life and eventually blocked contact with her friend, saying she didn’t want to “pretend” to maintain a connection she no longer valued.
Her post read…
“My best friend from middle school still wants me to visit her every time I come home, like before. But I don’t consider her a friend anymore because we are different now.
She is married with two children and two fathers. Although I am unmarried and have no children, she can sew clothes, but her skills are not very good.
The last time I visited her was five years ago, we had nothing to talk about, she wanted to buy me egg rolls and “minerals” that a girl was hawking, and I told her not to bother.
We have nothing in common anymore.
I believed I was no longer a good fit for her and friendship and I blocked her contact so she would never contact me again. There’s no point in pretending to be friends with her. “
