The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command arrested Alfa Ali, a wheelbarrow trolleyman who was allegedly his colleague Hayyatu Ibrahim, due to unfixed commercial negotiations.
Ali is said to work at Angwan Maina Park in the Lafia Local Government area and is said to have had a heated debate with his colleagues, who spoke at @bbed of st@bbed about who will bring some merchandise from Jos, Plateau.
The headquarters spokesman ASC Muhammed Suraju revealed this in a statement Tuesday, April 15, 2025, while listing five suspects who have recently been arrested for committing various crimes in the state.
“On April 10, 2025, at about 2:00 pm, people who were patrolling inside the Rafia Metropolitan arrested a 20-year-old Alfa Ali who allegedly stabbed his colleague Hayyatu Ibrahim, who died with an horn.
“When Hayyatu was taken to the Lafia Commonwealth University Teaching Hospital, he was confirmed dead.
“Suspects, Alfa Ali and the deceased, Hayyatu Ibrahim, according to our investigation
“The day of the incident, they misunderstood for two (2) days because who should pick up a vehicle from Jos in Maine Park, Angwang, Rafia, to get to the specific destination for the cargo.
“The case lingers in Alfa Ali’s intolerance until he finally achieves his evil goal by sending the dead Hayyatu Ibrahim to his early grave.”
He noted that Ali had admitted to the murder of his colleagues, adding that a deputy NSCDC spokesman for the state said commander Muhammed Kabir Ingawa directed that the suspect should be charged with the trial court after an investigation into the matter.
Therefore, ASC Suraju takes this opportunity to warn residents of the state to be cautious about their friends, neighbors and colleagues, in order not to kill prematurely or involve any kind of danger.
