A man recalls his time as a pastor.
Ejeagba Chidi claims he is a liar for the pastor, but thinks he is telling the truth because he believes in his message.
But he now calls his previous view of “false”, adding that everything he says is based on “false foundation.”
He wrote: “When I was a pastor, I was a liar and thought he was telling the truth.
“I’m sincere, but I’m sincerely wrong.
“Everything I preach is built on a false basis. How can a person be honest when they are flawed in the whole premise?
“That’s why I don’t judge people who are still trapped in religious dogmas. I’ve been there. I know that believing in something so deeply and just realizing it later that it’s by no means what you really believe.
“But sincerity is not an excuse to fall into falsehood. We should question our most precious beliefs. Because the most dangerous lies are told by those who really think they are telling the truth.”
