Former Anambra Governor Peter Obi said when he was about to be impeached during his tenure as Anambra Governor, then-President Olusegun Obasanjo sent people to appeal to members of his state capitol not to go through the improvisation process.
However, the same thing is happening in Nigeria today, and current President Tinubu is pushing for “impulse”.
“When President Obasanjo and Atiku served as governors, I became governor through the court. I did not pay the court. I sat in the office house and the court declared me a winner. When I was impeached each, the president sent someone to intervene on my behalf and started not to impeach me in the House. Today, the president is imploding each other.”
He said this was in response to recent emergency president Tinubu, announced in Rivers State the suspension of Tinubu, as well as the governor, his vice-president and state legislators.
