Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke also knows that Davido reveals that the Nigerian music industry feels unusually quiet in his absence

Afrobeats superstar Davido is open to the enormous love and support he has received from his fans, revealing how the Nigerian music industry has been unusually quiet for a short period of time.

In a recent interview, the award-winning singer reflected on him during a period when he was inactive and had not released new music. According to Davido, it was during that break that he truly realized the extent to which he had influence and connection with his audience.

He recounts how fans and industry insiders repeatedly urged him to make a comeback, noting that even his critics seem to miss his presence.

“I know people love me because when I’m not active, the entire industry is closed.” Davido shared it. “It’s so quiet. Even my fans who hate me are like saying, ‘Please come back, we need to disband you.'”

The artist’s comments have since aroused reactions online, with supporters reiterating his important role in shaping Afrobeats and their global reach.
