- Terry G responds to critics who doubt his success, saying their negative emotions often stem from childhood conditioning
- He explained that many Nigerians grew up hearing frustrated words from their parents and unconsciously brought this mentality into adulthood, which put them in failure.
- He urges people to break the cycle and embrace positivity.

Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi (commonly known as Terry G) has addressed critics who often drown his social media with negative comments, especially those who doubt his success.
In a recent Instagram story, the quirky artist notes that many people expressing frustration or hatred online do not really speak their thoughts, but respond to their voices growing up at home.
According to him, growing up is constantly influenced by negative reinforcement by parents, shaping the mindset of many young Nigerians, causing them to unconsciously project the same negative emotions into adulthood.
He wrote:
“Our Nigerian parents are really doing a lot of things. What I’m going to do is: When you say under my post you’ll never do it, it’s not really talking, it’s the sound you hear when you grow up at home. When you say ‘You can’t do it, you can do it, you’re just going to air it gradually. It’s time to change that way of thinking.”
Terry G, known for his unconventional style and outspoken personality, urges people to get rid of negative situations and develop positive prospects to support growth and success.
