Nigerian woman Oluwadolapo explains why she missed Nigeria after moving from England to Canada
In the Tiktok video, she shared that during her eighth month in Canada, she felt she was left out of the celebrations of her friends in Nigeria and hoped she would return to the UK to visit some of them.
Oluwadolapo said: “This month marks my 8th month in Canada and I don’t feel ashamed to admit that sometimes I want to book a flight back to the UK just to meet my friends again. I miss Nigeria more than ever before because I feel like I feel like I’m missing in the lives of my friends.
“After I got here in the first few months, I felt like I started my life again, and it was a frustrating feeling. After getting my first job, I was still not satisfied because it was a new career path and I felt like a newbie.
“Making friends here is the hardest, and I haven’t stopped praying to God and bringing me a community of devout friends. Am I still converting prices into my mind and buying things up with taxes?! I realize it takes time to settle down, and it’s OK! Working with God, working with God makes the journey smoother and more adorable.”
When asked which country I like between the UK and Canada, Oluvado Rapo said: “Well, I like the UK more. I like it here, I think it has a lot of advantages, but I miss the UK.”
