Ebiye Ogoli, the propaganda secretary of the People’s Democratic Party of Bayelsa State (PDP), dismissed the report of the factions within the party.
Naija News Reported Governor Automatic Dira Dismissed some political aides to attend a rally organized for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) ministers Nyesom Wike.
The party is in a statement from a faction spokesperson, among factions in the state Derri Wrightcondemns the sack of political assistants.
On Friday, Ogoli spoke with Arise News to clarify that Wright’s group was not Bayelsa’s PDP faction, but Wike’s supporters.
He said Bayelsa PDP has no faction and all state executives and members have taken orders from the party’s Governor Diri, Governor Diri.
His words:Frankly, in Bayelsa State, I want to record that the PDP has only one State Executive Committee (SEC) and one State Working Committee (SWC).
“To be clear about this, we have 14 members of the committee working at the national level. We also have 25 assistant committee members. We have 8 local government chairs, and 17 of them are distributed in 8 local governments. So we have about 100.
“Then, on the ward level, we have about 105 wards, each with 17 members. So, all of these people in total are about 2000 safe and good working together as a group.
“We have no other faction. Vick does not have any faction with PDP in Bielsa. Maybe he may have supporters of political leaders very general.
“But when it comes to PDP, our political parties, from the state to the ward level, each of our members, a political leader, our governor, all of us follow and master the directives from it.
“So, as far as I know, I don’t know where the Splinter group comes from. PDP has only one indivisible family, only one. Excos is also a single state excos.”
