Nigerian music star Olamide Baddo has admitted that 35-year-old artist Wizkid has been in the music industry longer than him.
Both artists rose to fame around 2010, with Wizkid gaining attention in January with the hit single “Holla At Your Boy”, while Olamide burst onto the scene a few months later with Eni Duro. Their early success also saw them compete for the Next Rating category at the 2011 Headies Awards, an honor that ultimately went to Wizkid.
Although many consider them to be peers in the industry, Olamide recently clarified in an interview with streamer Azeeez that Wizkid is about two years ahead.
“Wizkid and I didn’t start making music at the same time. He started making music a year or two before me and had released songs before I even entered the scene.” Olamide explained.
It’s worth noting that Wizkid had earlier appeared on MI’s 2008 track Fast Money/Fast Cars, about two years before his mainstream breakthrough.
It was also reported that a man was so surprised that he was speechless after meeting his online girlfriend for the first time, only to find that she was physically disabled and had no legs.
The man had been communicating with the woman for several months, and the initial face-to-face encounter quickly turned emotional as he struggled to cope with the unexpected physical exposure.
Although the woman looked cheerful and confident, her physical condition caught the man off guard. The incident sparked a wider discussion online about honesty, empathy and expectations in modern dating.
