Omoyele Sowore, the convener of Omoyele Sowore, slammed police authorities across the country during demonstrations on Monday.

Naija News The report said the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) asked protest organizers to put it aside, citing National Police Day.

However, protesters ignored police warnings and were dissatisfied with certain federal policies on the streets.

The situation became in trouble at Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, according to police reportedly beat some protesters and sent tear gas to disperse them.

Sowore expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment of some protesters in a political interview on channel TV today and called for a halt to protests, announcing police, describing their actions as disrespectful of human rights.

Sovor, presidential candidate for the 2023 African Action Conference (AAC), claimed that protesters were unprovoked and police were intolerant.

He said “Today is the day when the police should prove that this is a policeman for the people. If professional testing can be done, that is what we did today and they feel very failed with it.

“Look at how they performed today – again suffering. They attacked us without a doubt. They were intolerant. They had no respect for human rights. Three people were arrested today – one of them was a journalist. They were lying in the drain. They fired tear gas at them. They stuck their plans on their reservoir.”
