Sowore expressed dissatisfaction with the treatment of some protesters in a political interview on channel TV today and called for a halt to protests, announcing police, describing their actions as disrespectful of human rights.
Sovor, presidential candidate for the 2023 African Action Conference (AAC), claimed that protesters were unprovoked and police were intolerant.
He said “Today is the day when the police should prove that this is a policeman for the people. If professional testing can be done, that is what we did today and they feel very failed with it.
“Look at how they performed today – again suffering. They attacked us without a doubt. They were intolerant. They had no respect for human rights. Three people were arrested today – one of them was a journalist. They were lying in the drain. They fired tear gas at them. They stuck their plans on their reservoir.”
