Mr. Ato Peterside has criticized General Ibrahim Babajda (RTD) for allegedly making jokes and laughter in his June 12 book speech.
Peterside made an observation during a Sunday political interview on channel TV.
According to Peterside, such an event should at least be a sign of respect for those who lost loved ones during tragic times.

“When we discuss the Holocaust, there should be no laughter in the room. If you discuss it on June 12, there should be no laughter in the room. Some of us are a little upset about the general mood of jokes, laughter, etc.” He explain.
Peterside was also disappointed with the tendency to change the story every time Babangida talked about the events of June 12, 1993.
“The interesting thing is that every time he talks about an event, he explains things, the story changes slightly. So if you say you’re responsible for something, people can respect that. But if you take responsibility, it’s a little bit. Strangely, it sounds like you’re delivering the bulk to those passing by. “He said.
Additionally, Peterside stressed the importance of showing respect and creating an atmosphere when discussing June 12 (such as June 12).
“We have to pay tribute to parents who have lost their children or lost their parents, etc. We have to be very careful because whether we like it or not, we have a responsibility to help shape the right or wrong things and try to help influence young people.” He added .

Peterside concluded that thirty years later, Babangida’s admission of responsibility did not impress him.
“I want to say that on the June 12 issue, it’s not really impressive to admit that things are going to be incredibly impressed by me after thirty years. There is no doubt that if you need to stand out from your back or something, but let it go Getting very dull. Makes you look like you’re mourning, not laughing, jokes, back blows, fundraising, raising a lot of money when many people are financially heartbroken and announce these numbers. I think we have to Be careful,” he said.
