Sam Nkire, pioneering leader of the Abia caucus at All Progressive Conference (APC), urged Governor Alex Otti to leave the Labor Party (LP) and join the APC to enhance his chances of re-election in 2027.
Naija News Nkire reiterates initial recommendations from the Senate President Godswill Akpabio Last weekend, it was stressed that Oti should seriously consider switching.
Recall that Akpabio made a phone call while attending the 70th birthday celebration of the Senator friend In the capital of Abia.
“Congratulations, my governor. I’ve started to see your work, but I can’t stand here to praise you because you’re in Labour. So, you’re still working hard. The day you go to APC, you will hear what I can say. You will hear how I will praise you. I will celebrate you,” Akpabio said.
NKIRE responded to Akpabio’s statement, arguing that Labor will remain unchanged by 2023 by 2027.
“Dr. Alex Otti will need extra effort to win with LP, not to mention any gatherings outside of APC,” he said.
Nkire also pointed out that Akpabio was not the first APC figure to invite such an invitation, suggesting that President Bola Tinubu may soon follow suit.
However, Emmanuel Otti, chairman of Abia Records, dismissed Otti’s call for flaws and said: “This is his modest view. It contains no water. ”
Meanwhile, in an interview with LP’s national propaganda minister on Sunday, The Punch A liarreiterating Otti’s commitment to the party, insisting that he has no plans to defect.
“Politically, politicians can attract others. Not only APC; many other parties have been trying to attract Governor Alex Otti. But when I checked last time, he was still in Labour and he assured us that he had nowhere to go,” ifoh said.
He further pointed out the achievements of LPs, comparing them to the failures of states led by APC.
“Getting people to continue to ask for help means the LP ideology he represents is worthy of simulation. Most APC countries have failed, but our LP countries have shown serious commitment to human development, infrastructure and mandate. That’s why we think Labour is the right choice for Nigerians.,” Obiola added.
