Oby Ezekwesili and Senator Nwaebonyi made an insult at the Senate hearing.
The conflict has led to the case being suddenly adjourned in court.
With Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, Senator representing Ebonyi North and former Education Secretary Oby Ezekwesili, the Senate hearing turned into an insulting market. This led to a fierce debate between the duo on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
The chaotic exchange took place at the Senate Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions Committee meeting, and the hearing was due to the suspension of a new petition filed by Senator Natasha Akputi-Udoagen.
Oby Ezekwesili attended the hearing with Abiola Akiode, attorney and petitioner Zubairu Yakubu, Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The fight began with Yakubu trying to speak, while committee chairman Neda Imaseun is still speaking to the group.
Yakubu is asked to mute, but Ezekwesili tries to intervene, but she is interrupted by Senator Nwaebonyi, who is a witness to Akpabio.
This led to a sharp exchange that turned the hearing into a chaotic scene. “Make yourself and stop making noise,” Ezekwesili told Nwaebonyi. “Nwaebonyi replied angrily: “You are a fool. What do you mean? Why do you talk to me like that? I won’t accept it. You are an insult to women. People like you can’t be here. ”
Ezevisley shot him, “You’re a gangster.” This craze escalated into a full-blown word deal as the other members tried to calm the two.
Due to the damage caused, Imaseun announced that the case was in court, resulting in a sudden adjournment of the hearing.
