Security agents in Zamfara state arrested a criminal suspect identified as Ashiru Jijji, allegedly providing soft drinks and other consumables to armed bandits operating in the state.
According to security sources under anonymous conditions, the arrest was conducted by members of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guard during a regular patrol operation in an easily coerced area.
Preliminary investigations show that the suspect is a logistics supplier, ferry drinks and other items that can be used in criminal hiding places in remote forest locations used by bandits.
“We caught him as he was delivering cardboard soft drinks and other supplies.
Ashiru Jijji is currently in custody and is expected to be handed over to relevant security agencies for further investigation and possible prosecution.
