Michael Nees is impressed by training and hospitality in Nigeria
Ness told the Warriors media team: “The hotel is spacious and comfortable and we have settled in a good way. Our arrival was really a bit ic due to the cancelled flight, which was our flight, which brought us back for hours, but honestly, we can’t complain. It was the previous base of the Nigerian team and then they moved to another hotel.”
Outside of the accommodation, the Zimbabwe coach was impressed by the quality of the training ground, saying it was a facility his team would love to go home. He added: “The surface of the game is soft and not too hard, and it is very suitable for training. I hope the stadium will be better.”
Zimbabwe deals with travel fatigue before big matches
Despite his satisfaction with the conditions, Nes admits his squad is still ridding from travel fatigue. “Our intensity is not needed yet, so we have to manage the workload of the players carefully. Traveling is always a loss, but so far things look good.”
