Nobel Prize winner Professor Wole Soyinka expressed grief over the current situation in the United States under President Donald Trump.

Naija News Soyinka reportedly made the statement in an interview with Laura Collins-Hughes, a freelance art journalist who appeared in the New York Times.
Collins-Hughes reported in an article titled “Wole Soyinka, 90, revisits his younger, more optimistic self” that Nobel Prize winners are troubled by recent developments in the United States.
“I just feel very, very sad because what is happening in the United States that should happen in such a potentially progressive country,” said the author who is not a propaganda world.
