Former Force spokesman Jimoh Moshood has been deployed to Lagos.
Nigeria News Nalin The Police Services Commission (PSC) has approved Moshood Jimoh’s appointment as police chief of Lagos State Command, the report said.
CP Jimoh was a police commissioner for the Eastern Port Authority before his appointment.
Jimoh, from Kwara State, was a former military public relations officer and later deputy director of the Airport Police Department, deputy director of finance and administration, and deputy commissioner of general investigations.
He received several professional training, including the combat operations course at the Mobile Training Academy Maiduguri; the African Union mission in Darfur; the first responder to the Welfare Destruction quantum measures at the American Training Institute; China China Executive Leadership Academy training on social construction and management reform; training on marine rescue and rescue of Ningbo elements of China Maritime Academy, as well as anti-distance technical and tactical training for developing countries, Yunnan Police Academy of China.
He also worked at the Police Training Academy in Seoul, South Korea.
CP Moshood received the Presidential Award of Public Relations Person of the Year for his outstanding contribution to the development and use of public relations at the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
PSC spokesman Ikechukwu Ani said the new Lagos police chief appeared before the committee on Monday as a request for deployment.
