    Will Nigerians beat the average English in the English language on average? ? Nigerians’ Challenge to X’s Response to X

    The viral confrontation between Nigerians and British people at English level has become even more interesting.

    Nigerians boldly challenged the British to the English test of X (formerly Twitter) after yesterday’s Buzzworth post, and the person behind the tweet is now addressing this objection.

    In the new post, he breaks down the reasons why the challenge is not surprising.

    Using Yoruba’s analogy, he explained that speaking a language does not mean that people can understand its grammar or write it correctly.

    He noted: “Some of Yoruba’s children speak fluently but cannot write this language.” Similar to many British people who speak English every day but lack technical knowledge of grammar, understanding and writing.

    He stressed that true language skills include Talking, writing, reading, and listen – He believes that many Nigerians receive rigorous English training in primary schools, usually exceeding their UK.
