    • A woman’s humorous complaint about her husband blaming her and repeatedly asking for marriage after Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations loss to Morocco went viral.
    • In a viral video circulating on social media, the woman burst into tears as she complained that her husband blamed her for Nigeria’s failure to win the match and vented his frustration through repeated demands for marriage.

A Nigerian woman has caused an uproar online after sharing a humorous but controversial account of her husband’s reaction to the Super Eagles’ defeat at the Africa Cup of Nations.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the woman burst into tears as she complained that her husband blamed her for Nigeria’s failure to win the match and vented his frustration through repeated demands for marriage.

In a playful but angry tone, she said Nigeria’s failure had indirectly contributed to her exhaustion, stressing that she was only suffering the consequences because she was his wife.

According to her, it was past midnight, but her husband insisted on continuing despite being visibly tired.

“Because Nigeria didn’t win this ball, my husband wanted to kill me with sex. Because Nigerians didn’t score, Nigeria look what you caused. It will be the third round. Look at the time because I am his wife,” she sighed.

The video has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some viewers finding it amusing and others debating its underlying message.

In other news… Ann, a close friend of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, is free after two nights in detention.

She was released on Wednesday night after the court adjourned the case to March 5, 2026.

Regina Daniels’ brother Sammy confirmed her release via his Instagram Story. He had earlier expressed concern that Ann was being brought to court without access to a lawyer or family.

“Similar tactics. Not letting legal representatives or family members know whereabouts. Not letting anyone know about court, final stage prison. Case adjourned to March 5,” he wrote.

Hours later, he announced her release, posting: “My TED Ann is out.”

Ahn was reportedly arrested in Lagos on Monday and flown to Abuja on a private jet over theft charges filed by Regina Daniels’ estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The arrest comes two months after Regina Daniels allegedly separated from the senator due to domestic violence.
