    Amaarae reflects on Coachella’s debut in new interview

    Ghanaian singer and songwriter Amaarae describes her debut performance at the globally acclaimed Coachella Festival as a major turning point in her career.

    Recent interview Rolling stonesthe genre-fusion artist reflects the importance of the moment, both individually and the wider African music landscape.

    “It’s a huge turning point.” Amaarae Toold Rolling stones. “Previously, my performance was mostly like young black kids, young African kids.
