    • Nigerian singer Ahmed Olorade aka Asake has responded to Afrobeat star Seun Kuti’s recent advice.
    • Seun Kuti warned Asake to be wary of Wizkid amid the ongoing tension.
    • The warning comes in the wake of a public feud between Seun Kuti and Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, which garnered widespread attention on Nigerian social media.

Nigerian singer Ahmed Olorade, known professionally as Asake, has finally spoken out on the advice of Afrobeat star Seun Kuti, who warned him to “be careful of Wizkid”.

The warning comes in the wake of a heated online conflict between Seun Kuti and Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, which has recently captured the attention of Nigerian social media.

Instead of distancing himself, Asake seems to be stepping up his collaboration with Wizkid.

The conflict intensified when Seun Kuti criticized Wizkid’s fan base, describing Wizkid FC as “the most ignorant fan base” and suggesting that their parents did not carry on the legacy of his father Fela Kuti.

Wizkid reacted violently, calling Seun “Forty-year-old fool,” “hungry bastard,” and “frog that lives in the mud.”

Tensions further escalated when Thane warned Wizkid to remove Fela’s tattoo from his hand, claiming that failure to do so could prevent him from succeeding again.

Amid the ongoing drama, Seun turned his attention to Asake, advising him to be cautious, especially after the YBNL star confirmed to be working with Wizkid.

Despite the warning, Asake officially announced the release of his collaborative project with Wizkid titled “Real EP Vol. 1” on January 23, 2026. 1.

The two artists shared the news via a joint Instagram post, accompanied by a stylish promotional video and caption:

“Real EP Vol. 1 ti jade bayi” translates to “Real EP Vol. 1 out now”.

The announcement comes one week after the EP’s lead single Jogodo was released on January 16, 2026.

@seyiajibola: “Once you all understand that Seun needs Wizkid’s attention to revive his career, you will understand that there is a concept in the entertainment industry called “publicity”. And don’t forget about bad publicity either”

@bb_badejo: “That’s how an aunty starts her craziness… now you want to start yours too with Wizkid”
