The aviation union threatens to close airports across the country starting March 31, 2025 unless the government removes Nigeria Federal Airport Authority (FAAN) from attacking customs officials involved in the Director of Aviation Safety.
The National Alliance of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), the Association of Senior Staff of Air Transport Services (ATSSSAN) and the Nigerian Association of Aviation Professionals (ANAP) said in a joint statement signed by Ocheme Aba, Frances Akinjole and Abdul Rasaq Saidu that they expressed their dissatisfaction with the Faan Annemern persearters faaan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan faan persect.

The statement stressed the need for governments to reduce the number of customs in civil aviation in accordance with global practices.
“Given the enormous and frequency of physical and psychological attacks on FAAN employees, nothing is forced to inform the union that we manage our unwavering determination to establish a clear framework of mutual respect between FAAN employees and the security agencies operating at the airport.,” the union said.
They added that sanctions will be imposed to ensure the safety and human rights of FAAN personnel.
“Unless such agreement is established, we will instruct all workers to evacuate the airport from March 31, 2025. ” The statement continues.
The union also condemned the recent attack on the Aviation Safety Director, saying it was too many incidents.
“We sincerely hope that our needs in this regard will be met to avoid the industrial crisis,” the statement reads.
In response, customs spokesman Abdullahi Maiwada attributed the disagreement between FAAN officials and customs officials to poor communication on equipment movement and seating arrangements.
