Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has made a contrasting opinion on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration amid constant public criticism.

Her comment was in response to a viral video from a Lagos-based NYSC member that recently slammed the Tinubu government “Oops” Due to the rising cost of living. The remarks of the Legion members also sparked allegations of threats by New York City officials, triggering reactions from Nigerians, including comedian Macaroni.

In a series of Instagram story posts, Cynthia Morgan acknowledged the country’s current economic challenges, but believed that Tinob was not the worst president in Nigerian history. She quoted the book Wealth soldier Supported by Max Siollun.

However, Cynthia Morgan criticized President Tinubu’s administration for removing fuel subsidies altogether, noting that while it was a major move, it could be handled differently.

She wrote: “Tinub is not the most terrifying president of Nigeria ever, but removing 100% subsidies is a terrible move. At least if the fuel is 500, the cost of living will be reduced. We can easily cancel subsidies and maintain such decisions with the right development and infrastructure. Babies can’t go from milk to yam in a day. Abeg considers us,” she wrote. she added.

Her statement sparked a conversation online, with many Nigerians debating whether her views are consistent with the reality of the economic crisis.
