Tottenham Hotspur took a big blow against Manchester United in the Europa League final but was injured in the match against Manchester United.
Dejan Kulusevski was excluded from the final against Manchester United and he is expected to start recovery immediately with the club’s medical staff. He was injured in a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace’s Spurs in the Premier League on Sunday, May 12, 2025.
Tottenham Hotspur posted a statement on its official website on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 confirming Kulusevski’s injury.
“We can confirm that Dejan Kulusevski suffered a right ta bone injury last weekend in our Premier League match against Crystal Palace. After further expert consultation, the midfielder underwent surgery today and will immediately begin rehabilitation with our medical staff.
The Spurs will also be without James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall, who have lost due to injuries in the past two weeks. However, they received a huge boost from Captain Heung-Min’s son’s return to the palace.
Tottenham and Manchester United have been poor in the Premier League since the start of this campaign. However, both teams have a chance to face off in the Europa League final, and the winner will get an automatic position in the 2025/26 European Champions League.
