A young farmer, Idris Salisu Danwanzan, caused an alarm about herders allegedly destroying his cassava farm by the local government area of Kokona, Nasarawa.

Danwanzan shared his frustration in a Facebook post Wednesday, saying he had not visited the farm for a month and suffered a catastrophic return and found it had suffered a catastrophic disaster.

He wrote: “If I told you that this is my cassava farm, you would be surprised. After a month of visit, that’s what I saw. I can’t even estimate how much I spent,” he wrote: “Any pastoral who is responsible for this, Allah sai yasaka mini [may God repay them]. ”

The scope of the damage has not been formally evaluated, but Danwenshan shows that he has devoted a lot of time and money to the farm, which has now been destroyed.

This incident has increased tensions between farmers and herders in parts of Nigeria, especially in the middle zone, where conflicts in farmland and grazing routes have become increasingly common.

In another but related incident, the tragedy struck Akpam Village 2 in the Karu local government area of Nasalawa state, where two young men were reportedly killed by suspected Fulani herders.

The victims (victims aged 23 and 24) reportedly tried to prevent herders from allowing cattle to eat mango leaves near their homes. The confrontation is said to escalate, resulting in a fatal knife attack.
