Units of the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army, operating under Operation Haven, arrested two suspected gunmen and kidnappers in the Bakken Radi local government area of the Plateau State.
The suspects were identified as Yahaya Adamu and Saeedu Haruna, and were arrested in a series of intelligence LED operations conducted in cooperation with security intelligence agencies.
Adam first read on May 10, 2025 at the Destroy Department (Leaven Ladi Lga).
The arrest led to a follow-up operation at Marit Mazat in the same LGA on May 11, with troops arresting Haruna and retrieving the AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine and an iterative cell phone.
Preliminary investigations show that the suspect and his group are responsible for Gashish and Kurra Falls, Gwantu and Fadan Karshe in Barkin Ladi, Kaduna State.
Both suspects are currently in custody and provide useful information to aid ongoing investigations and further arrests.
Efforts are being made to arrest other members who fled the joint organization and restore other weapons.
