    Former Olympic snowboarder becomes FBI

A former Olympian landed on the FBI’s 10 most popular fugitives list, allegedly operating a transnational narcotic ring.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio approved a $10 million award to capture Ryan Wedding, a former member of the Canadian ski team at the 2002 Winter Olympics, the FBI announced Thursday.

“Weddings typically ship hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia, Mexico and Southern California, Canada and other parts of the United States,” Akil Davis, head of the FBI’s Los Angeles office, said in a news conference.

Davis also claimed that the wedding arranged multiple murders and attempted assassinations as part of his criminal activity.

The wedding was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possession of the intent to distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to export cocaine, continue to commit crimes in business and murder in connection with drug crimes.

“The wedding ranged from crushing on the slopes of the Olympics to the powder that distributes cocaine on the streets of American cities and his native Canada,” Davis said.

In addition to the State Department’s $10 million reward, the FBI also provides $50,000 info for information about the wedding arrest. The wedding was 6-foot-3 and weighed 240 pounds and used a variety of aliases, including “El Jefe”, “Giant”, “Public Enemy” and “James Conrad King,” the FBI said.

Authorities arrested the so-called colleague Andrew Clark at the wedding in October 2024.
