Eniola Ojajuni, the president of the Afenifere Youth Committee, has been kidnapped by an unknown gunman in Abuja.
The incident occurred on Monday, February 17, the State Secretary of the Council, Abiodun Aderohunmu, said in a statement released.
“The Afenifere National Youth Commission is deeply saddened to announce the kidnapping of Prince Enniola Joseph Ojajoni, the President of the state of Abuja, Nigeria. The unfortunate incident happened yesterday, and the kidnappers demanded a ransom of N100 million.
Prince Ojajuni suffered bullet wounds on his hip during the kidnapping. We are very concerned about his safety and well-being and we urge the kidnappers to be harmed.
Prince Ojajuni is an outstanding figure in Nigeria and a powerful advocate for empowering and developing youth. ”
The group asked the federal government and security agencies to act quickly while begging Nigerians to provide useful information to assist.
The FCT Police Command has not commented on the matter yet.
