Health Minister Dr Adekunle Salako said medical staff remain one of the highest-paid professionals in Nigeria.

Salako said in a working visit to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) on Monday, February 10.

“The challenge of the health sector’JAPA’ is mainly an economic challenge and we will continue to solve this problem. But the economic problem is actually beyond the scope of the health sector. I believe the trend of the “japa” will eventually be reversed’

Health workers remain the best professionals in the country in Nigeria’s economic capacity, which shows the priority and value of the government to them.

We will continue to advocate for increased healthcare funding. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu clearly demonstrates the focus on health.
