    • Tiwa Savage emphasizes the importance of humility among musicians.
    • She stressed that the artist is a representative of Afrobeats’ global success.
    • The savages warn that the dangers of fame and wealth lead to arrogance.
Tiwa Savage's cheeky tweet makes fans speak

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage calls on other musicians to remain modest and reminds them that they are just representatives of the global rise of the genre.

Speaking about the pressure of fame and success, Crohn of “Marlow” warns that wealth and popularity never lead to arrogance, pointing out that anyone can be replaced by God.

She stressed that losing prominence after reaching the peak is more devastating than keeping the artists to come.

“We are just ambassadors, just like the face of Afrobeats. That’s why we can’t let it get into our minds because we’re just boats, and there are other people.”

“God can take it away that way. So, you have to take root. You have to be humble. Imagine going so far and then falling down. That’s worse than never tasting to become famous. I’d rather see and lose sight in my life. It’s worse for me.

“So, to me, like, I’ve tasted this thing now, I have to be humble. Just for God’s sake.”

The singer also expressed admiration for some of her colleagues.

“I love Ayra Starr, it’s almost an obsession. I see myself in her, but I see a more confident person; when I start, if I see an article too short, I might wear pants next time. But Ayra will wear a skirt, even a shorter next time. I love her confidence. I love her.

“I love the mystery behind Tems. You don’t know much about her, she doesn’t care. I love Diamond Platnumz in Tanzania. He’s so talented, he puts the community on the map.”
