Nigerian burns survivor Chizoba Francess Obanye has shared her heartbreaking story of survival after an acid attack she suffered at the age of eight.

Chizoba took to Facebook on Thursday, October 30, to describe how her uncle’s wife threw acid on her during a domestic dispute, leaving her with severe burns and emotional trauma that took years to heal.

In addition to her post, she also shared before-and-after photos of herself, showcasing her remarkable transformation and resilience over the years.

Looking back on her journey, she wrote:

“The truth is, I almost lost my smile growing up! I don’t smile often, but I’m glad I didn’t lose it.”

Her post has since inspired many, with social media users flooding her comments section with words of encouragement and admiration for her strength.

In other news… Ghanaians are reacting on social media after a video of a male teacher making a controversial demand surfaced online.

In the viral video, the teacher called on the government to provide special allowances for male teachers, claiming they should be paid for maintaining self-control in front of female students.

According to him, high school girls are becoming “increasingly attractive” and male teachers need strict discipline to remain professional.

    in his words

“Minister of Education, on behalf of my colleagues, in fact we should get self-control allowance. Teachers, we should get self-control allowance because look at these young girls now, teachers are suffering. Ghanaian teachers, we are suffering, we should get self-control allowance because it is not easy.

It is not easy for teachers to control themselves during the three years of teaching these children, because now the food they eat and the bodies they hug make them look attractive, but they are still young and it is not easy for us to control ourselves. “he said

His comments sparked reactions from many Ghanaians. While some saw nothing wrong with his comments, others called for his arrest and prosecution.
