Nigerian comedian Destalker recently opened up about how he got into comedy.

In a recent episode of the In-house Gist podcast, he revealed that his path to comedy began after a failed attempt at online fraud. Destalker said the friend who initially introduced him to the online scam is now a Christian pastor.

He explained that his failure in online fraud was largely due to his good nature, as he could not bring himself to deceive or deceive others.

“Before I left Enugu, I tried internet scams with a friend who is now a pastor but failed. We would then book evening classes at an internet cafe for N250. I couldn’t afford it at the time so my friend always paid for it for me. He is now a high pastor, Rev. Nelson Umeh.

“However, while he was looking for victims online to scam people, I was busy chatting on Facebook with my family, friends and old Ughelli classmates. I fell asleep after that. There’s no point in overspending when you’re in the wrong lane…

“But today, the story changes. Because it [internet fraud] This is not my destiny. I can’t deceive someone because I have a good heart. As a result of going through all this, I have become so confident that no one can stop me from achieving my goals.

“Some comedians said I wouldn’t perform on certain shows without them, and I told them I would blow air even if I wasn’t performing there. I did. Some shows have disappeared and some comedians are no longer relevant,” Destock said.
