    • Nigerian media personality Joshua said he can only date women who earn at least 500,000 naira a month, stressing that he values financial independence rather than her money.
    • He explained that he wanted a partner who earned enough to be able to easily take care of her personal needs without having to rely on him.

A Nigerian media personality named Joshua has sparked debate online after he revealed the minimum income a woman must earn before he would consider dating her.

Joshua said on his X account @JJExclusive1 that he has strict financial standards when it comes to relationships.

    “I can’t date a girl who earns less than N500,000 a month…” he wrote.

He clarified that his request was not to be financially dependent on the partners. “…I don’t need your money…” he added.

According to Joshua, his preference is based on financial independence. He explained that he wanted a partner who earned enough to be able to easily take care of her personal needs without having to rely on him.

His statement has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his stance on financial compatibility while others criticizing it as unrealistic or materialistic.

In other news… Sharon Adeleke, daughter of billionaire Adedeji Adeleke and sister of music star Davido, recently posted a funny video of her husband Yomi Ademefun, sparking reactions online.

In the clip, Sharon humorously claimed that her husband’s compliments were actually a ploy to reduce her pocket money. In the background, Yumi can be heard saying she has “more pocket money than he gave her.”

“My husband keeps hyping me up and saying I’m big. I tell him I don’t like the hype because it usually means less pocket money for me. He’s trying to cut it,” Sharon jokingly teased her husband in the video.

The light-hearted video offers a glimpse into the couple’s daily fun interactions, this time set against the backdrop of a billionaire family. Sharon Adeleke and Yomi Ademefun got married in 2013.
