“Ghana’s Black Stars are better than the Super Eagles” - Fireboy

Nigerian music star, Fireboy DML has made public his stance on public opinion and music rankings.

During an episode of the 90s Baby podcast, the “Peru” singer revealed that he doesn’t care what critics or music fans say about him.

According to Fireboy, the most important thing to him is the opinions of his fans. He explained that he was pleased with the love and support he received, noting that he was already the greatest artist in the world in the eyes of many supporters.

“I don’t really care about being in the top five or the top 10, as long as I have fans who think of me. I know I have fans who think I’m the best artist in the world. That’s enough for me. I’m a very content person.” he said.

In other news… Nigerian comedian Carter Efe has set a new record for African streamers on Twitch, quickly reaching 10,000 subscribers. In one exciting live broadcast, his channel attracted 7,000 viewers in one minute.
Carter Efe cried on air as he reflected on his journey. He noted that while his skits are often ignored by Nigerians, his streaming efforts are now receiving huge support.
The huge growth was largely driven by music superstar Davido’s co-live broadcast invitation. Davido joked that their upcoming collaboration would require a “mask.”
However, the meeting did not go entirely smoothly. Carter Efe expressed disappointment that Wizkid did not show similar support. A video call with footballer Victor Boniface was also strained by access complaints.
Despite the friction, fans are celebrating Carter Effie’s meteoric success on the streaming platform.
