    titilope Gbadamosi, President Bola Tinubu’s special counsel, condemned the unrestricted increase in rents for homes by owners nationwide.

    Naija News Gbadamosi described how her landlord increased the rent from the initial amount by 1 million without notice.

    President Tinubu’s aide said in her 𝕏 handling Wednesday morning, while responding to the position of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Jubril is not goodhe revealed that the Lagos House Parliament will introduce a bill for the lease bill.

    Gawat’s tweet reflects the new landlord/lease bill proposed in the Enugu state capitol sponsored by Nkanu East MP, Anthony Okey Mbah.

    Gawat responded to the bill: “Lagos is coming soon… This is a very powerful question, but after the deliberation of the Lagos Parliament building, it must be fully discussed and implemented. ”

    In response to Gawat’s tweet, Gbadamosi wrote: “Not only Lagos. I woke up from the landlord Naira. I received a notice when I renewed my lease, without prior notice, nothing notice. ”

    The Landlord and Tenant Act, proposed Tuesday, passed the first reading. Among other things, the bill attempts to:

    1) Ensure that anyone who wishes to become a land agent/manager must be certified

    2) There is a 10% ceiling for agents and legal fees, which percentage can be negotiated but never exceeds 10%

    3) Forbidden warning traditions are prohibited

    4) Specifies the definition duration of the notice

    5) The government ministries or institutions have the right to formulate further regulations on housing issues in Enugu State.
