The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Nigeria (ICAN) condemned the test ills after viral videos showed two imitators sitting among candidates.
A man allegedly wrote for a bank manager, while a woman claimed she represented Talaba state officials.
ICAN’s registrar Lanre Olasunkanmi said the agency adheres to global standards and warned that any compromise would lead to strict discipline.
“ICAN wants to make it clear that it retains a strict zero-tolerance policy for all forms of examinations, including counterfeiting.
The institute’s review process is guided by globally recognized standards of integrity, and any attempt to compromise is taken with utmost seriousness. ” Olora said.
He revealed that the body had begun a thorough investigation of the allegations and would impose appropriate sanctions in accordance with the regulations.
