Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray, said the ongoing season will be a memorable milestone in his career.

Victor Osimhen scored a new personal best in an impressive 4-1 victory over Sivasspor on Saturday night in Galatasaray.

With this performance, he scored 33 goals in all yellow and red matches, surpassing his previous 31 goals record two years ago while playing for Naples.

“It was important to break my record in my first season. I was one of the most important clubs in the world. The largest club in Türkiye.” Osimone told the club’s official website.

“I want to thank my family and friends for their help. I want to thank the technical team and the staff of the club. They never left me alone. This season is a memory I remember throughout my life.”

Galatasaray is currently in a good position to ensure they won the Turkish Super LIG title for the third time in a row, leading their painful rival Fenerbahce with six games left.

In a strategic decision, Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk explained the replacement against Sivasspor Victor Osimhen.

The team’s victory raised their title and highlighted Buruk’s commitment to player management.

Osimhen, who scored twice in the game, was taken away by Dries Mertens in the 70th minute.

“I want to protect him and minimize the risk of injury, especially because he is close to receiving the card,” he said. Bud said.

“But it is crucial for our players to prioritize our well-being as well as when we drive this demanding timeline.”
