    Pastor Jerry Eads

The Jerry Eads Foundation announces a landmark initiative blending faith, compassion and economic empowerment. In 2026, the foundation will launch a $360,000 (approximately £540m) equity-free grant program aimed at supporting 120 young Nigerian entrepreneurs – a bold step that embodies Christianity in action.

Rather than providing one-off philanthropy, the foundation chooses to invest in people and help them build sustainable businesses in manufacturing, agriculture and technology – three areas critical to Nigeria’s economic future. Each selected entrepreneur will receive $3,000 (over £4 million), enough to take an idea from vision to execution, whether that means producing goods, expanding farmland or launching a technology solution.

At the heart of this initiative is Jerry Eze, the globally recognized convener of NSPPD, the world’s largest online prayer platform. While many know him as a spiritual leader, this program reveals another dimension of ministry: economic empowerment as an expression of God’s love.

“This is our role in what God does for His people,” Eads said, emphasizing the biblical principle that faith must be accompanied by works (James 2:17).

To ensure transparency and fairness (which is often an issue in grant programs), the Foundation hired a reputable international consulting firm to independently manage applications and selection. This builds on a strong record, including delivering £100 million in small business grants to widows across Nigeria and building 18 homes.

The program has now been expanded through a strategic partnership with Tonye Cole, who is supporting an additional 20 beneficiaries. Beyond funding, this partnership sends a strong message: When believers steward resources with integrity, others will be inspired to join.

As inflation puts pressure on livelihoods, this initiative provides more than just money – it provides hope, dignity and opportunity. For Nigeria’s youth, the call is clear: prepare your vision, sharpen your skills and be prepared. God is opening doors.
