The Foxes ranked 19th on the table, only 19 points behind Southampton. The Saints became the first team, relegated from the 2024/25 Premier League when they lost 3-1 at Tottenham Hotspur on April 6, 2025.
This is the second time in three seasons that the Foxes have been relegated to the top level in British football. However, Leicester City hopes they can immediately advance to the Premier League when they compete in the 2025/26 season.
When will Leicester City be relegated from the Premier League?
Leicester has been relegated five times since the Premier League, the first time in the 1994/95 season, followed by 2001/02 and 2003/04. The Foxes also left the league in the 2022/23 season.
