    • Speaking to Arise News, Onyema said Tinubu’s support has allowed the private sector to flourish and forced foreign airlines to reduce fares.

Ellen Onyema: From humble beginnings to Air Peace CEO and billionaire entrepreneur

Air Peace Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Allen Onyema has applauded President Bola Tinubu’s policies for helping his airline slash flight prices on the Abuja-London Heathrow route.

Speaking to Arise News, Onyema said: “I would like to congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for achieving this goal. This is an example of government paving the way for the private sector to flourish.”

He explained that Air Peace reduced ticket prices from $13,000 to about $3,000, adding, “President Tinubu did the right thing for the country. His intervention forced foreign airlines to significantly reduce ticket prices.”

Onyema described the development as “a turning point for Nigeria’s aviation industry” and said the new routes “save Nigerians money and make flying affordable again. Even the Brits who fly with us are happy because competition is finally here.”

Air Peace currently operates 14 weekly flights between Nigeria and the UK, covering the Lagos-London Gatwick and Abuja-London Heathrow routes.
