    • A Nigerian woman has sparked discussion on social media with her bold claims about why some men are attracted to “independent women” in relationships.

A Nigerian woman has sparked discussion on social media with her bold claims about why some men are attracted to “independent women” in relationships.

In a video that went viral on

She explains that men may prefer women who earn their own money because it makes it easier to borrow money when needed.

    As she said:

“The reason men want an independent woman is to borrow money from them. I don’t know a single woman who hasn’t borrowed money from a man.”

Her comments quickly sparked debate online. Many women agreed with her based on personal experience, while others felt that independence should not be equated with providing financial support to men.

One social media user responded, “Not all men, but some do feel entitled to women’s money.” Another added, “Being independent doesn’t mean being a lending bank.”

The video continues to go viral, reigniting discussions about money, gender expectations and modern relationship dynamics.

In other news… A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread reactions online after she shared a WhatsApp message allegedly sent by her mother containing harsh words and expletives.

The woman, known as @atouchofcee on social media, revealed that her mother, Precious Chikodi Justice, sent messages full of anger and threats. Screenshots shared on TikTok show the mother claiming that no one but herself can reverse the curse on her daughter.

In the message, the woman allegedly warned that her daughter would no longer succeed unless she apologized and acknowledged her. She further claimed that if she did not do so, her daughter’s close friends and “helpers of fate” would abandon her.

    One of the messages read:

“You will never succeed again, and no one can turn this around except me, the precious Lady of Chicody Justice. You just wait and see. From now on, all your best friends and destiny helpers will be cut off from you. Unless you come and apologize and admit that I am…”

@atouchofcee responded publicly, sharing screenshots and expressing shock at the severity of the news. She responded:

“Who can be against me when God is for me. Oh well, unless they kill God.”

The post subsequently sparked heated discussion online, with many social media users expressing doubts and concerns about the nature of the messages and their impact on parent-child relationships.
