After several years of not prioritizing my health, I finally locked and cracked the code to sustainable weight loss.

In 2025, I lost 25 kilograms (about 55 pounds) while keeping up with my 2-year-old. No restrictive diets, no endless fitness classes, no weight loss drugs. Just simple, science-backed habits that actually apply to real life.

If you have weight loss goals this year, I hope you can gain some valuable advice from my experience.

    What am I? No Do

I didn’t spend long hours in the gym, give up carbs, count calories, weigh food, or feel deprived. As a naturally laid-back person who also juggles motherhood, my approach has to be relaxed, flexible and stress-free.

    What is the actual effect

Nutrition first: I focus on nutrient-dense, whole foods 80-90% of the time, drawing inspiration from a nutritionist approach. key? Nothing is off limits. I just save snacks for special occasions, and surprisingly, the more minimally processed foods I eat, the less I crave any highly processed foods.

Know my hormones: This is a game changer. Learning how to eat and move in sync with your menstrual cycle makes everything feel more intuitive and supportive rather than restrictive.

sports i actually enjoy: Daily walks became my foundation. Even just 10 minutes can make a difference. I add yoga and strength training occasionally, but the consistency of simple movements trumps intensity. I am now exploring more targeted resistance/strength training.

The power of sleep and hydration: These basics have had a greater impact than I imagined.

The real secret? Patience and progress

I didn’t start everything right away. I started with nutrition and then gradually added exercise, cycle synchronization, and intermittent fasting. Building habits in stages makes the process feel effortless rather than overwhelming.

The result? In addition to losing 25 kilograms, I gained clarity of thought, better sleep, improved health markers, and an overall sense of well-being that truly lasted a lifetime.

Want the full breakdown? Watch full version video I’ll delve deeper into each strategy, share specific resources that have helped me, and explain why this approach works when dieting fails.
