Professor Charles Anosike, Director General and CEO of Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NIMET), was awarded on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the 2025 Africa Leader of the Year Award organized by the 2025 African Leadership Magazine honor.
Professor Anosike received the African Public Sector Leadership Impact Award for his transformational leadership at the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NIMET).
Morocco also paid tribute to other leaders in the event in Casablanca, including President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar (African Political Leader of the Year), and Bassirou Faye of Senegal (Africa of the Year), Governor Douye Diri Champion Award, Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, (African Leadership Public Service Excellence Award), Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director, No. 1 Bank of Nigeria / CEO Managing Director/CEO (Special African Banking Leadership Award and African Banking Excellence Award) and Financial Innovation), Seinye Lulu-Briggs, Executive Chairman of Moni Pulo Limited (African Philanthropist in 2024), And several others.
