“Obvious” – Army leader General Ali Ibi claims Boko Haram is enjoying foreign funding

    It's obvious

Major General Adekunle Ariyibi, head of defense standards and assessments, said foreign collaborators are providing funding for Boko Haram and other terrorists.

Ariyibi appeared on channel TV today on February 17th. According to him, foreign support from Boko Haram and the Islamic State (ISWAP) in West Africa is one of the causes of Nigeria’s war on terrorism.

“There is no doubt that such actions have not been sustainable for the past 15 years without some kind of external collaboration and assistance. It is clear that since the loyalty to ISIS, Boko Haram and the Islamic State in West Africa Operations have deteriorated and they have received international funding outside the coast of Nigeria. It is obvious in seeing the weapons they show. It is obvious in the sustainability plan they have. Currently, they are entering drones, not only surveillance drones, and also drones that can provide leather weapons.”

His claim comes after U.S. Congressman Scott Perry said the aborted U.S. International Development Agency (USAID) funded terrorist organizations (such as Boko Haram).

The comment has been debated in Nigeria and elsewhere, and General Alibi agreed that the terrorist group has foreign supporters.

“So, no doubt, is the lifeline, and it is maintaining these actions, not the local collection they do in taxes and all of these.

You can’t say it’s just an allegation. The former chairman of the Senate Army Committee said on the political scene of the channel’s Sunday. “That is why the Nigerian government and the National Assembly need to investigate to investigate and verify the authenticity of such important allegations.”
