Pastor Chris Okafor successfully gets married despite actress Doris O’Gara threatening to stop the wedding

Family, close friends and well-wishers gathered over the weekend to attend the wedding of Pastor Chris Okafor, effectively dismissing earlier threats and claims by Nollywood actress Doris O’Gara, who had publicly insisted that the pastor “must marry her”.

The event, held in Lekki, Lagos, which attracted a large crowd, was in stark contrast to the online controversy that has dominated social media in recent weeks following a series of viral videos and accusations by actresses against pastors.

Despite the accusations — ranging from claims of past relationships to a reported demand that Pastor Okafor must buy her a house — the wedding went off without a hitch, apparently with the strong support of the pastor’s inner circle.

Insiders familiar with the situation dismissed the accusations as fabricated and baseless, insisting they were part of a failed attempt to discredit the cleric and distract from an important moment in his personal life.

A source who spoke to our reporter revealed that Pastor Okafor was deeply encouraged by the overwhelming turnout at the ceremony.

> “Pastor Chris is delighted and grateful for the friends, family and well-wishers who came to celebrate with him,” the source said. “He is focused on his marriage and has no time for distractions.”

The importance of the occasion was further emphasized by the presence of respected Christian leaders. Attendees included Bishop Isaac Idahosa, Pastor Ashmolovo and Bishop Ida Peterside to provide spiritual and moral support to the newlyweds.
