The team representing popular Nigerian figure Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Pele, has finally spoken out after days of public speculation about his arrest and overall health.

According to a previous report by Legit.ng, the Nigerian police confirmed that Peller was arrested for deliberately crashing his SUV. This incident attracted widespread attention online. Video of the crash circulated on social media, and sources said it may be related to his emotional distress after breaking up with girlfriend Jarvis.

Peller management addressed the situation in an official statement released on Wednesday, December 17, in an effort to clarify the facts and ease public concerns.

The statement acknowledged the spread of rumors but stressed that some reports were misleading or inaccurate.

Part of it is as follows:

“We, the management and official representatives of Mr. Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, wish to formally inform the public of recent events and related developments.”

The team confirmed that Peller is in good health and is not in any immediate danger, adding:

“We want to reassure everyone that he is safe, healthy and doing well. There is no reason to be concerned at this time.”

Peller’s representatives also called on the public to avoid sharing unverified information or participating in cyberattacks against him. They stressed that spreading misinformation could exacerbate an already delicate situation.

    The statement concluded:

“We kindly ask fans, bloggers and social media users to exercise caution, refrain from speculation, and refrain from participating in online harassment directed at Peller.”
