    Police guns in Lagos-Ibadan highway 4 kidnappers

    • Ogun State Police Command foiled attempts to kidnap on the Lagos-Ibadan highway.

    • Four suspected kidnappers fought a gun showdown with police agents.

    • Police recovered several items, including locally made pistols, daggers and stolen cell phones.

    Ogun State Police Department has confirmed that its agents successfully thwarted the attempt to kidnap around the Warewa axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday night.

    During the operation, four suspicious kidnappers were neutralized in a fierce gun showdown.

    According to CSP Omolola Odutola, the bandits ambushed a white Paragon commercial vehicle with registration number BDG 753 YH, driven by a Mr. Morufu Addeji, heading to Lagos.

    The armed personnel reportedly stopped the vehicle by force, pointed the gun at the driver, and began robbing passengers with guns.

    “During the attack, some passengers managed to escape through the back door, which was cleverly and bravely opened by the driver.

    This behavior angered the kidnapper, who then brutally beat the driver to the point of unconsciousness. ”

    Nigerian police force denies returning to SARS

    The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) dismissed reports of the return of the infamous Special Anti-Enterprise Squad (SARS).

    Force Pro Pro, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, described the report as rumor and misinformation in a Monday entitled “Disclaimer: SARS Still Disappeared”.
