In line with the Constitution of the SDP, the idea, manifesto, principles and practices thereof, and in consonance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act pertaining to the exclusive right of a political party to determine its membership, the National Working Committee deliberated on the controversial membership status of Nasir Ahmad Elrufai from Kaduna State who has in recent months been parading himself as a member of the SDP
Among Kaduna State executives, he has not yet joined the SDP, but is promoting activities of other political parties in the state.
In the initial stage, given his status as an elderly person, former minister and governor, the man’s Nasir Ahmad Elrufai was given the benefit of doubt that he should know the meaning of false representation and imitation, especially given the fact that he posted on social media that he joined the SDP, which led to the secret message of our faction and secret support in our party.
However, after thorough inquiry, it turns out that Kaduna State University’s SDP is correct, and this person is not joining the SDP. The following facts appear:
(1) Nasir Ahmad Elrufai failed to register in his ward as required by law, despite falsely publishing on social media to join the SDP;
(2) Elrufai spent a lot of time seeking photo opportunities with suspended President Shehu Musa Gabam and some leaders of SDP, thinking that he had joined SDP in Kaduna State;
(3) In view of the intolerance and persecution of serving as Governor Kaduna under the APC, El-Rufai faces serious qualification problems because intolerance and the history of persecution against the opposition party is unpleasant;
(4) Obviously to get rid of the past, Elrufai presented a well-planned welcome ceremony at the SDP National Secretariat in Abuja, but politely suggested that such a jamboree is not positioned and he should go home to register in the ward in Kaduna State during a simple eligibility interview and boarding.
(5) This person did not legally register with the ward executive, but simply forged his own documents and registered and toasted himself “number 001 in the SDP membership register of Unguwar Sarki Ward in the northern local government area of Kaduna, as if there was no single member of the ward before he claimed to be joining. This is contrary to all existing and updated records in Kaduna State.
(6) In addition to his sly membership, Elrufai traded illegally in various forums and other political transactions in so-called alliances, although he knew he did not have such authority and violated the declared policies of the SDP National Working Committee and other bodies.
(7) Furthermore, despite his opaque identity, countless are Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai’s unstable plans against SDP at the national, state and local levels, so since he began with his brotherly leadership and membership groups, it has been peace for SDP.

The obscene dangling of cash and other inductions and pure guile and utter deception, misinformation and disorder have characterised his modus operandi leading to years of comradeship giving way to disrupt, distrust, intrigues and manipulations, culminating in sponsorship and financing of grossly unconstitutional and brazenly bizzare pronouncements and gambits.
The NWC therefore and hereby decides that by confirming and ratifying the denunciation of Nasir Ahmad Elrufai which was earlier done by his Unguwar Sarki Ward, Kaduna North Local Government Area and Kaduna State Executive Committee in Kaduna State, the SDP at all levels disassociates, disclaims, disfellowships, excommunicates Nasir Ahmad Elrufai as a member of the SDP; therefore, to the extent that it is alleged to require members by self-registration or any other means, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai was therefore expelled from members of the Social Democratic Party in Nigeria and anywhere in the world.

SDP members of Nigeria and the public informed in this public notice that Mallam Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai is not a member of the SDP, nor does it represent the interests of parties at any level, nor does it represent any purpose or intention.
The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) and relevant agencies and agencies hereby inform Mallam Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai of non-membership and unqualified SDP membership until Wednesday, July 28, 2055.
